Usability first: Our new release (which includes backend stability and scalability improvements along with several interesting features—see the complete overview in the tool) brings undo and redo functionality. If you encounter any bugs, please report them!
With the introduction of the Undo/Redo function, CYMETRIS strategically expands the usability of its TARA platform and reinforces its commitment to supporting cyber risk analysis as an iterative engineering process – not as a one-time documentation task. Especially in early development phases, during architecture changes, or when multiple roles collaborate on analyses, it’s critical to be able to adjust assumptions and steps in a traceable way without losing information.
The new function allows users to systematically reverse changes to risk assumptions, assessments, or structures and evaluate alternative decision paths. This demonstrates that TARA is not a static artifact, but a living work product that continuously evolves with the development state of the system. Every adjustment remains documented, consistent, and embedded in the overall context.
At the same time, the Undo/Redo function exemplifies CYMETRIS’s continuous product development. New features are purposefully implemented along real engineering needs: better collaboration, greater transparency, and lower barriers in daily work. Documentation isn’t treated as an end in itself, but as a continuously updated decision foundation – audit-ready, revision-safe, and tightly linked to architecture, risks, and measures.
With such incremental enhancements, CYMETRIS strengthens the platform’s role as a permanent work tool throughout the entire product lifecycle, making cyber risk analysis manageable, reliable, and practical.

How can TARA function across organizational boundaries? Through intelligent nesting. We recently published an expert blog on this topic, available in the Knowledge Hub of the CYEQT Knowledge Base, the leading training platform for automotive cybersecurity. LEARN MORE↗
We’ve been busy over the holidays! Our latest release includes a public API interface with secure API key support now implemented. For all integration inquiries, please contact us directly at partner@cymetris.com
We’re expanding the boundaries of scalable cyber risk analysis. In a pilot phase, we’re testing vertical TARA integration that allows damage scenarios from lower-level TARAs to flow directly into vehicle-level attack trees. This approach enables independent assessments while protecting IP, and allows efficient derivation, comparison, and reuse of variants.
TARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment) provides a powerful methodology for systematically identifying and evaluating cyber risks — throughout product development and across the entire lifecycle.
Our overview page guides you step-by-step through the complete TARA process in line with ISO/SAE 21434: you’ll learn which phases matter, what artifacts play a role, and what truly counts.
