Official BSFZ-Funding for CYMETRIS

CYMETRIS has been recognized as an R&D company by Germany’s Research Allowance Authority (BSFZ). This confirms our AI platform for automotive cybersecurity breaks new ground with dynamic attack analysis and collaborative risk assessment. LEARN MORE↗

We’re pleased to announce that the German Research Allowance Certification Body (BSFZ) has officially confirmed the eligibility of our continuously evolving CYMETRIS cyber risk analysis/TARA software platform for research funding.

This decision means that the research and development work behind our platform is recognized as technically and scientifically innovative – a critical milestone for our development and strategic direction. The BSFZ evaluates projects under the German Research Allowance Act to determine whether they contain genuine R&D elements that go beyond the current state of the art and systematically generate new insights.

Following positive certification, companies can apply for the tax-based research allowance from the tax authorities, which facilitates investment in further development and provides planning certainty.

For CYMETRIS, this recognition represents not only financial relief but also external validation of our innovative capabilities: Our platform addresses the growing requirements for cyber risk analysis and TARA in complex development processes, going significantly beyond conventional approaches. This success reinforces our mission to effectively support engineering teams through modern, workflow-integrated risk analysis software and sustainably improve cybersecurity efficiency in product development.

Vertical TARA Integration Now in Pilot Phase

We’re expanding the boundaries of scalable cyber risk analysis. In a pilot phase, we’re testing vertical TARA integration that allows damage scenarios from lower-level TARAs to flow directly into vehicle-level attack trees. This approach enables independent assessments while protecting IP, and allows efficient derivation, comparison, and reuse of variants.
